preview: point at a message with a mouse on web or desktop and its actions appear beside it - reply, react, forward and the rest of the menu - and a chat row gets its own button. Keyboard focus reaches both. A touch screen is unchanged: a finger reveals nothing, a tap still opens a message's actions, a long press still selects its words. Nothing else moves and no schema changes.
